Teams, coaches, shows, theatres and festivals
Teams find coaches.
Shows find teams.

Find your improv people
A directory of improv teams and coaches.
Look up teams, coaches, theatres, courses, festivals and auditions in your city. You don’t need an account to look.
Most cities have only a few listings so far. If yours has none, be the first coach or the first team in it.
Want to be found?
Each theatre, team, jam and festival that lists itself makes it easier for the next person, whether that’s a student looking for a jam or a team looking for a fifth player. Already listed by someone else? Find your page and claim it.

Run your group
Start in three steps, about five minutes.
- Start your group Pick a team, a drop-in, a theatre or a festival and give it a name.
- Share the link Drop the invite link in your group chat, on Instagram or in an email.
- They answer in one tap Everyone gets Yes, Maybe or No by email or notification. You see who’s in.
Who it’s for
Pick what you run.
A team that knows who’s coming.
- One tap to answer. Every player gets Yes, Maybe or No by email or, on a phone with the app, a notification. No account needed.
- Casting. See who’s in for each show, with “Cast 4 of 6” on the schedule until it’s full.
- Cover. Can’t make an event? Ask the group for cover and whoever says yes takes your place.
- Find a coach. Book one by the hour from your city’s directory and pay them directly.
- Room costs, split. Add the room hire once. Everyone sees their share and taps “I’ve paid”.
- Get booked. When a show invites your team, your players say if they can play, and the invite is accepted once enough say Yes.
A drop-in that fills itself.
- Sign up without an account. A name and an email holds a place, and a weekly session repeats on its own.
- A waitlist that runs itself. When someone drops out, the next person is offered the place and told by email.
- Jams split the room. The whole room is drawn into teams of about 8, and the performance time is shared between them.
- First-timers spotted. A “First time” label on the list, so you can say hello.
A theatre and school in one place.
- Courses that know their rules. Places, a waitlist, instalments, and an email to students when the next course opens.
- Shows with a lineup. Book house teams and guests, keep the lineup private until you announce it, sell tickets, then scan them at a door that works with no signal.
- Front of house. Door, box office and bar staff each get a narrow role.
- Season passes. One pass for several shows, scanned at the door.
- Room hire. A public enquiry form, an agreement, a deposit and a balance, and invoices with your VAT number.
- Pay your acts. Agree a fee or a door split, mark it paid, and each act gets a statement. The money never passes through ImprovTeam.
A festival from open call to wrap-up.
- Review that scales. Score with criteria, turn on blind review, and share each application out to a set number of reviewers.
- A programme across stages. Place acts on a grid by venue and stage. Clashes are flagged before they happen.
- Festival teams. Build troupes from the applications for one edition.
- Headliners. Name the acts you put first. They stay private until you go public.
- Passes and volunteers. Day and festival passes, free or paid, comps for guests, and a volunteer rota that shows the gaps.
- Camps too. Adult improv camps run as yearly editions, with rooms, a schedule and electives.
Get found, get booked, get paid.
- One profile, every role. Coach, musical director, photographer, videographer, lighting, sound, technician or designer.
- Your own questions. Teams and theatres answer them when they ask to book you.
- On the run sheet. Accepted bookings show your call time and what you need at the venue.
- Paid on time. Your fee, “I’ve paid” and “Received” for every booking.

Trust and money
Buyers pay the price shown. Your money goes to you.
Card payments go straight into your group’s own Stripe account, or people pay the group directly. None of it passes through us.
Safe and yours
Built to be trusted with your people.
No passwords
Sign in with a passkey or a one-time code. Answering from an email needs no sign-in at all.
Your data stays in the EU
It is stored in the EU and only used to run the site. It is never sold, and other people never see your email.
No health information
We never hold health information. Where an organiser needs health or dietary details, they collect them on their own form, not here.
Made to be accessible
We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA and run automated checks on the key pages. The accessibility page says what still falls short.
Open about who runs it
The terms page names the operator, and the security and privacy pages say how it works.
ImprovTeam is run by ImprovTeam Ltd, trading as ImprovTeam. ImprovTeam Ltd is registered in Scotland, company number SC908233. Registered office: Clyde Offices, 48 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1BP (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Try it
Try everything in a sandbox.
A sandbox is your own private copy of a team, a drop-in, a show, a festival, a theatre or a camp, filled with made-up people. Play with every part of it before you ask your group to.
- See it as…
Switch into any of the made-up people to see what a player, a host or a door person sees. - Test cards and a sandbox inbox
Buy a ticket, pay a cost share, sign up for a course with a Stripe test card. No real money moves, and every email and notification lands in a sandbox inbox you can read. - Nothing is sent or charged
Nothing you do in a sandbox is sent or charged: no real email, no real notification, no real payment. Not by accident either. - Bring friends
Send the invite link and a friend joins with their own account to play another role.
We delete a sandbox after 30 days without anyone opening it. The sample team is read-only. You sign in to open it.

Questions
Asked a lot
How does booking a coach work?
Open your city’s coach directory, pick a coach and send a request for a practice. Coaches set their rate by the hour and say yes or no. You pay the coach directly, in cash or by card into the coach’s own Stripe account. None of it passes through us.
My city has nothing listed. Is it worth listing?
Yes. Most cities have only a few listings so far, so the first coach or team sets the page up, and people looking for improv there find you. Listing takes a few minutes.
Do my players need an account?
No. Everyone gets Yes, Maybe or No buttons by email and answers with one tap, with no password and no app to install. They can sign in later if they want the app.
Who holds the money?
Your group does. Card payments go to your own Stripe account, or people pay you by a link or a bank transfer. None of it passes through us.
Can my group move from WhatsApp, a spreadsheet or Eventbrite?
Yes, at your own pace. Start with the schedule, then move tickets and courses when a new term or season goes on sale. Already selling on Eventbrite or Ticket Tailor? Keep your tickets there and link to them, or list those shows on your page by importing them.
Does it work on a phone?
It’s a website you can add to your home screen from the browser, and it opens like an app. The schedule still opens with no signal, and you can turn notifications on if you want them. It works on a laptop too.
What happens to my details?
They’re stored in the EU and only used to run the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites, to count visits to public pages. Email is optional, and other people never see yours.
Who runs it?
The terms page names the company behind ImprovTeam. The security and privacy pages explain how your data is kept, and you can download or delete it at any time.
