Plans are coming soon. You can see what each one includes here and on the pricing page, but buying is not open yet: an owner can ask us to tell you when it opens, from the Billing page.
A plan is per group, not per person: one subscription covers everyone in the group. Free is for running a team, a drop-in or a show. Plus adds a custom domain, the full brand kit, reports and a few more things. Organisation adds school and course tools and your own festival editions. Venue is for a theatre with its own premises: everything in Organisation. A theatre on either can choose to pay for house teams' Plus plans, some of them included; otherwise a house team keeps its own plan.
Paid plans are sold by Paddle, who take the payment and send the invoice. Ticket and course money still goes straight to your own Stripe account or to you, as before.
Who can subscribe
- 1
Only an owner of the group can start a free trial or subscribe. The owner who subscribes is the one who pays, and the only one who can cancel or change the plan. Admins and other owners can see the plan and ask them.

A group's Billing settings on a phone: what the group has now, and where an owner subscribes. - 2
Open the group's Settings, then Billing.
The free trial
- 1
Each group can try a paid plan free, once, with no card: 30 days of Plus, or 60 days of Organisation or Venue. After that the group goes back to Free unless an owner subscribes. We email the owners 7 days and 1 day before the trial ends, and say what goes read only (nothing is deleted).
If a plan ends or a payment fails
- 1
A failed payment keeps the plan for 14 days. When a plan ends, the features it included become read only. Nothing is deleted: what you made keeps working for the people who already booked, your site stays up, a custom domain keeps working and the runs on ImprovTeam line comes back. You cannot make new things with those features until the plan is back.
- 2
If you subscribe again, everything you had returns.
If the owner who pays leaves
- 1
If the owner who pays leaves the group, stops being an owner or deletes their account, the plan is set to end when what they paid for runs out, and the other owners are told. Any owner can then open Billing and choose Take over billing. Their subscription starts when the old one ends, so there is no gap and nobody pays twice.
A theatre covering a house team's plan
- 1
A house team runs itself and keeps its own plan, Free or whatever it pays for. Nothing changes for a team because its theatre has a plan. A theatre on Organisation or Venue can choose to cover a team's Plus plan: in the theatre's Settings, open House teams and tap Cover this team's plan next to the team. Only the owner who pays for the theatre's plan can do it.
- 2
The Organisation plan includes the cover of 1 house team and the Venue plan 4, at no charge. Each further team is an extra on the theatre's own subscription, at half the Plus price, charged pro rata when you add one and credited when you stop. The included ones are the teams you covered first; if one stops, the next one takes its place at no charge. A theatre on its free trial covers teams at no charge. The cover is always Plus, and a team with its own Organisation or Venue plan keeps that plan.
- 3
A team that already pays for its own Plus is not charged twice. Its own subscription is set to end at the end of what it has paid for, and the cover starts that day, so it has Plus all the way through and the theatre is not charged before then. The team's payer gets a message with the date. If the payer resumes their own subscription before it ends, the cover is dropped and the theatre is told.
- 4
When the theatre stops covering a team, either side unlinks, or the theatre's plan ends or a payment fails past its 14 days, the team keeps Plus for 30 days. It gets a message, and in Billing it can tap Take over the plan to keep Plus itself. After the 30 days the features Free does not include become read only. Nothing is deleted.
Festivals: pay per edition
- 1
A festival does not subscribe. It pays once for each edition. An edition runs from the day its open call opens, or the day you first switch the festival tools on, whichever is first, until 60 days after the festival's last day, and never longer than 12 months. Open Billing in the festival's Settings to buy it.
- 2
Between editions nothing is lost or hidden: your public site, past programme, archive and data stay up and readable. Only the tools that change things (a new open call, review, programme changes) wait for the next edition. A theatre or school on the Organisation or Venue plan has its own festival editions included while the plan runs.
Discounts
- 1
Yearly is ten months for twelve. Charities, non-profits and student groups can ask for a further discount on the Billing page. We check each request ourselves.
Group news by email
- 1
A Free group emails its news to its first 100 email subscribers. Followers on push and in the app all get it, and mail like tickets and reminders is never limited. Plus has no limit.
